We are currently working very hard in writing. Moreover, I am reviewing the characteristics of each genre of writing: narrative, informational, and persuasive. These are the genres that will be on the Georgia Writing Assessment Wednesday, March 2nd. The test will be given in homeroom. Students will be given two hours to write on a given prompt. Please stress to your child the importance of performing well on this test.
In language arts, we are continuing to study verbs. This week our focus will be on verb tense and subject-verb agreement. This a very important grammar skill that is essential to good writing.
I am looking forward to another wonderful week!
